God it feels like summer!

Here's a quick sketch I did in the dark, damp pit I call a bedroom. The other version has me in this same outfit.

And remember kids...

I had been driving the other day when I had noticed this slogan on the bumper sticker of the "Van that Soccer Built" in front of me. Thought it quite interesting...

Stanley Kubrick agrees..."The one good thing I've ever done."

MY PITCH HAS BEEN COMPLETED!!! Kubrick says I'm no longer a disappointing vessel. Though it was 2nd to be conceived, it's the first out of the pipeline! I've been extremely excited and have been calling up everyone. If you would like to produce it please make your checks payable to the "Save The Tal Foundation". If you'd like to see a copy let me know and we'll figure out a way to do it without posting your email and what not.

Also, I turn 25 tomorrow! I asked my parents for a noose and they didn't oblige. We're going to dinner tomorrow so it looks like death by cholesterol this year...Hooray!

Now on to the artwork. I was going to post some more girls when I notice it has been a while since I've posted any guys. So I've put together a few sketches and hope you guys like 'em. Now that the pitch is complete expect more posts too!

How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love The Timm

Ok, first off let me point out that Shane Glines actually posted a comment on my blog. I haven't felt this giddy since Jen Lerew refused my marriage proposal. One day Jen, one day. Then again, if Mr. Glines looks half as good as his sketches...

So I'm continuing my 'Net studies and have done up another page of some Timms.

The ones in pencils are done straight from some Timm originals and the others are just done without reference with a plain 'ol pen and marker.

These are just a couple of sketches I did just trying to incorporate the Timm style. The lower leg/feet I've found to be a problem.

As far as what's next, I'll figure out as I go; hopefully some sketches with the feet actually included in the next round...

Girls, Girls, Girls

Over the past few weeks I've been feeling a little under confident about my style; certain sketches I had just looked like...Well, like horrid crap from the 7th level of hell to be quite honest. So I've gone back and revisited some strong influencers. I figured a good place to start would be just some girlies.

I Bare All (figuratively speaking of course)

Nudity and myself: truly a combination worth visualizing. Here's a quickie I threw into photoshop:

And here's the pencils for the second panel in my ad campaign entitled "Gravity Kills".

Gravity Kills 2: Gravity's Revenge

Ok, here's the colored piece...Hopefully a couple more panels to come soon.

Gravity Kills

Not that anyone but Matt and some creepy, balding, middle-aged guy named Allison cares, but here's another little sketch. I'll probably add a couple other panels and make a public service announcement comic out of it. So stay tuned for more panels and some gosh darned color...

Wow, superman has really let himself go.

HEEEEEEERE'S TALEEEE!!!

No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy No pitch and no sleep make Tal a dull boy

Work, pitch, and the occasional restroom break; life's become quite simple in its redundancy lately. I've had only 2 sketches within the last month that were not pitch related...Here's one of them:

Oh Squiddy, you silly little bastard.

And this was a much anticipated design for the back of some tennis warmups; I think it turned out quite well.

Alas, Stan Lee Comic!...'Nuff said.

Oh boy, if you guys like crappily rendered dialogue bubbles and even crappier page layouts, are you in for a treat. With that said LA has been pretty good; I have gained some weight by staying at my parents house. I've always considered food to be my greatest vice...Well that, and little boys. Oh and by the way, the pedophile jokes are out in full force these days soooo WATCH OUT! And just so everyone stops asking I work as an IT Specialist at CSU Dominguez Hills. I could fix your computer, for a nominal fee of your last born child of course (they just keep comin').

So on to the Creme de la Creme of it all! On 4th of July Stan Lee visited my great hometown of Palos Verdes to speak at it's 47th Annual Independence Day Celebration. I got his signature and shook his hand and told him what an inspiration he had been in my life. Unfortunately he had to leave early so I wasn't able to take a picture with him but overall a great day...Well, except at this one point; I dunno, it just got weird. I recreated the incident so you may all judge for yourself.

DISCLAIMER: THE FOLLOWING COMIC IS DONE IN EXTREMELY POOR TASTE. LIKE ALL "ARTWORK" ON THIS BLOG IT SHOULD BE AVOIDED/BURNED AT ALL COSTS. AS SUCH BY YOUR CONTINUED INTEREST YOU UNDERSTAND THESE IMPLICATIONS AS THEY APPLY TO THIS SO-CALLED "ART". YOU ALSO MUST GIVE UP YOUR LAST BORN CHILD....DAMN, IT WAS WORTH THE TRY. ANYWAYS, ENJOY!
